Creative Minds Nursery: Throwback

We were delighted to work with Creative Minds Nurseries, transforming a former high street bank into their new flagship Montessori nursery for up to 80 children, aged 0 – 4.

A once derelict 1980s structure is now a calm, light-filled space that supports creativity, independence, and play.

Our approach was intentionally minimal and stripped back, allowing the children to bring colour, energy, and personality to the environment. Subtle details include acoustic wood fibre ceilings, integrated storage, and timber archways, which add character while supporting the practical needs of a nursery.

With exposed concrete soffits and reflective panels strike a balance between raw and refined. Layered learning zones and playful openings encourage exploration and visibility and natural daylight, clerestory glazing, and circular windows ensure every space feels warm and welcoming

Bringing this project to life was a fulfilling venture, turning a vacant structure into a purposeful space that balances practicality with warmth. We are proud to have contributed to an environment that will positively influence children’s early years.
